Republic reports that Sudhakar was discharged from the mental hospital after High Court orders and after the court said he was not in police or CBI custody.

The News Minute reports that Sudhakar died due to cardiac arrest at age 52 and separately records opposition allegations calling the death political murder; those allegations are not the same as a legal or medical finding.
High Court closes suo motu PIL after CBI charge sheet
The Andhra Pradesh High Court's 16 February 2022 order records that CBI completed investigation against four named personnel, filed a charge sheet before the jurisdictional CBI court after sanction, and that the High Court closed the PIL while directing the CBI court to complete the trial at the earliest.
