Isuzu signs AP agreement and acquires Sri City land
Isuzu said its India subsidiary signed an agreement with the Andhra Pradesh State Government to start LCV manufacturing operations and had acquired 430,000 square metres of land in Sri City.
Reorganisation takes effect
The India Code text defines the appointed day as 2 June 2014 and says the successor State of Andhra Pradesh would thereafter comprise the territories not transferred to Telangana.
Single Desk Portal launched
AP's 2024 Industrial Development Policy 4.0 says the state launched the Single Desk Portal in June 2015 and that it helps industries obtain more than 93 regulatory clearances in 21 days.
Isuzu plant opens in Andhra Pradesh
Isuzu opened its Andhra Pradesh LCV manufacturing plant with company leadership and the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister attending the ceremony.
Kia signs Anantapur MoU
Kia's official release says it signed an MoU with the Andhra Pradesh government for a manufacturing site in Anantapur district, with about US$1.1 billion of plant investment and 300,000-unit annual capacity planned.
Hero lays Sri City foundation stone
Hero said it commenced construction of its Andhra Pradesh manufacturing facility in Sri City, with a 600-acre footprint, Rs. 1,600 crore projected investment, and 12,000 projected plant-plus-ecosystem jobs.
Kia trial production starts
Kia said construction of its 536-acre Anantapur facility was complete, trial production had started, and the plant was poised to create more than 3,000 direct and 7,000 indirect jobs.

Hero's board approved up to Rs. 600 crore for a Global Parts Center 2.0 at Tirupati with storage capacity for up to 36,700 SKUs.
Policy 4.0 resets the statewide investment pitch
G.O.Ms.No.68 dated 26 October 2024 issued the new AP Industrial Development Policy 4.0, explicitly revising the earlier 2023-27 policy. The annexed policy says the state had over 1,066 large and mega enterprises operating, had realized Rs. 1.4 lakh crore of investment, and had created 2.54 lakh employment since state formation, while targeting 5 lakh first-time manufacturing jobs during the policy period.
Cabinet records a 20 lakh employment GOM
The GAD implementation tracker records Cabinet Case 197/2024 as approval to constitute a Group of Ministers for creation of 20 lakh employment, with a Government Order issued on 26 October 2024 and the first meeting only planned for November 2024.
